The lights were out, the crowd was hushed and the performers were ready to hit the stage. Convent of the Sacred Heart students and faculty members debuted their special talents Friday, May 2 at Sacred Heart’s annual talent show, Talent for Tots.
Acts ranged from dances to songs, and of course the annual teacher video surprise.
“I participated with the varsity lacrosse team and did a dance replicating the Bella’s final performance from Pitch Perfect,” junior Kate Burkett said. “We had a lot of fun performing and practicing for this performance and it was also a good opportunity for some team bonding.”
The members of the Community Service Club organized this year’s Talent for Tots. The club created raffle baskets and held bake sales in order to raise money for Sacred Heart Primary School in Kyamusansala Hill, Uganda. This year, the event raised $660.

“We worked very hard this year to prepare for Talent for Tots, despite the date change, I am still happy with how the event went,” Community Service Club co-head Molly Phelan said.
Many students and faculty members admired the participants’ bravery at this year’s talent show.
“Eva’s performance of “Let It Go” from Frozen gave me goosebumps. She has a very powerful voice and was able to hit some very high notes,” freshman Haley Horn said. “I was impressed.”
Mrs. Lori Wilson, director of Campus Ministry, Upper School Community Service and Summer Enrichment and administrator of the event, expressed her gratitude towards all those who made this event successful.
