Director of Nutrition Education, Ms. Kristina Hess, and Operations Manager for the stores, Ms. Patty Blank set up a table of the restaurant’s product samples in the new lunch room. They handed out samples of cold pressed juices, smoothies, chia browns, and chia pudding.
Green and Tonic is located in four locations in Connecticut including Greenwich. The store was founded in 2011 and its main goal is to provide a balance between healthy and clean, and delicious food, according to greenandtonic.com.
“We encourage young people to put green in your diet and enjoy your food,” Ms. Blank said. “Green is good.”
The Greenwich store will have a Wellness Night, November 17 from 5 pm to 6:30 pm for high school students, meant to teach students about the importance of healthy and balanced diet.
