What did you do prior to coming to work at Convent of the Sacred Heart?
“I majored in several things in college. I started out as Chemistry major, then got a degree in Journalism. However, I later got two more degrees in mathematics and in computer science. Prior to teaching mathematics, I worked doing computer statistical programming for the University of Wisconsin Medical School.”
Why did you choose to pursue a career in mathematics?
“I wanted to teach, preferably at a private school. My wife and I also wanted to move from Wisconsin to be closer to our children who live in Portland, Maine.”
What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
“My wife and I like the theatre a lot. I especially love Les Misérables and am very sad I didn’t get to see the performance here. I have seen the show elsewhere quite a few times. I am also working on writing a book of poetry in my free time.”
