The Convent of the Sacred Heart bi-annual fundraiser will be held Saturday, May 4 at 6:30 pm in the Panorama Hanger at Westchester County Airport. This year’s theme is SOAR. In the spirit of flying high, the event’s focus is on how Sacred Heart “gives girls wings” that will propel them to future success.
The money raised at the benefit will go towards the school’s endowment. The endowment fund ensures that programs and resources are available to help Sacred Heart students soar to academic excellence. For example, in recent years the endowment has helped fun the Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) curriculum, as well as the science research program.
Sacred Heart parents are not only highly encouraged to attend the event, but also to bid on a number of exciting auction items for their children.
Some highlighted silent auction items to bid on include tickets to a One Direction concert, four tickets to Taylor Swift’s RED concert, a night out in New York City, and New York Giants tickets.
“I am really hoping that my mom bids on the Makeovers at Neiman Marcus gift package” junior Shelby Holland said.
This year’s raffle costs $200 a ticket, but could result in the grand prize of a $35,900 certificate, granting one student free tuition for a year.
