"Humans of Sacred Heart" – Mrs. Jane Gillespie Steinthal '55

What is your favorite aspect of the annual Alumnae Generations Tea?
“Returning to Greenwich has always been special to me, but attending the Tea with my granddaughters Daisy [’19] and Peyton [’21] makes it delightful! Sharing memories with the other alumnae is an added bonus.”
What do you find most special about being a Sacred Heart Greenwich alumna and grandmother?
“Knowing my granddaughters are acquiring the core values and principles I associate with a Sacred Heart education gives me great hope for their future and the future of Greenwich. A devotion to God and Mary, an openness to share one’s talents, the giving of oneself, these ideals have never left me, and hopefully, the girls carry them throughout their lives.”
What has been the most significant change at Sacred Heart Greenwich since your days here as a student?
“Wow. There have been so so many! Blue ribbons for the expanded facilities, the new gym, and the sports fields. Also for the many amazing choices in the curriculum, especially science. Oh yes, and no more white gloves or ‘Notes’ in Monday morning assemblies.”
The King Street Chronicle thanks alumna Mrs. Jane Gillespie Steinthal ’55 for her contributions to “Humans of Sacred Heart.”

You go Jane!!! How wonderful that you are able to join two of your granddaughters at Greenwich and be recognized as a valuable alum. Your grand-girls and their mother are to be admired and supported and I for one am proud to know and appreciate all you have done and are doing for their futures! Happy Easter season – the tomb is empty!!
