As the Convent of the Sacred Heart Class of 2013 approaches graduation and college, its members take time to reflect on their past hopes and future career aspirations.
Alexa deAlessandrini: “For a significant portion of my childhood, I wanted to be the Little Mermaid. It was my dream to be able to sing ‘Under the Sea’ in real time.”
Kyra Baldwin: “I wanted to be an auctioneer because I could yell things loudly.”
Becca Quirke: “I really wanted to be everything when I was younger, none of which was ever realistic. However, for a little while I did want to be a lawyer. I also wanted to be a farmer at one point.”
Lauren Totonis: “When I was younger my dream was to be astronaut. I always heard other kids say they wanted to fly to the moon, but I was convinced that one day I would actually do it.”
Kelsey Roche: “When I was younger I wanted to be an actress on Lizzie McGuire.”
Emma Molloy: “When I was younger I always thought I would become either a Veterinarian or an Olympic Swimmer. I figured swimming would be my main focus and I could help animals on the weekends.”
Marguerite Francois: “When I was younger, I had a dream of becoming a paleontologist and traveling the world to search for old fossils/dinosaur remains.”
Julie Randolph: “I went through different phases… I wanted to be a writer, then a nurse, then a lawyer… and now I don’t know what I want to be.”
Jackie Batrus: “When I was younger I wanted to be a ballerina pop-star.”
Whitney Rose Terry: “I wanted to be so many different things; it changed on a weekly basis. However I think I mostly wanted to be a veterinarian.”
Margaret Dunne: “When I was younger I wanted to be a doctor and I still do!”
