
During the twelve days until Christmas break, the King Street Chronicle will again present staff favorites from the holiday season. This fifth edition will not include five golden rings, but beloved Christmas songs, memories, recipes, movies, and crafts.

Recipe: Holiday Toffee

Ingredients:
35 saltine crackers
Steps:
1) Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet or jelly-roll pan with tin foil and coat with cooking spray. Line the baking sheet with saltine crackers. Set aside.
2) In a medium-sized saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously, and let cook until bubbling. Pour mixture over crackers in an even layer and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
3) Top immediately with chocolate chips and let melt. Smooth chocolate out into an even layer, then top with red and green M&Ms and holiday sprinkles. Cut into squares, then cool until the chocolate has hardened.

Movie: Love Actually

Craft: Chalk Paint Ornaments
Supplies:
Plastic holiday ornaments
Chalk paint
White paint pen
Instructions:
1) Start dipping the holiday ornaments in the chalk paint.
2) Leave ornaments out to dry, for about 24 hours.
2) Finally, draw holiday decorations and personal messages on the ornaments using the paint pen.
