For this Senior Edition of Guide to Greenwich, we explored the most popular lunch spots of the Class of 2021.

For the Senior Edition of Guide to Greenwich, we ventured to three of the Class of 2021’s favorite lunch spots.  We enjoyed a takeout sandwich from each location, sampling favorites of Sacred Heart Greenwich seniors.

Belle Fair Kitchen

First, we stopped at Belle Fair Kitchen, located a short three-minute drive from the Sacred Heart campus in the Belle Fair community.  Belle Fair serves a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items, from pancakes to chicken tenders.  Belle Fair also has indoor and outdoor seating for customers, as well as catering services, according to bellefairkitchenny.com.

We purchased a bacon, egg, and cheese (BEC) sandwich on a roll for $5.35, a favorite of the senior class.  We ordered ahead and our hot sandwich was ready for pick up upon our arrival.  The classic BEC never fails to impress with its crispy bacon, melted cheese, and soft roll.  The combination of the flavors and textures is always satisfying, and the popular breakfast item often serves as a lunchtime staple for the seniors.

G*Ville Deli

Next, we ate at G*Ville Deli, located seven minutes away from campus.  This popular deli is on the corner of Glenville Street.  G*Ville Deli serves a range of breakfast and lunch options, such as specialty sandwiches, salads, soups, and bagels, according to gvilledeli.com.

We customized our own sandwich with lettuce, tomato, cheese, avocado, and onion on a roll for $6.00.  Similar to Belle Fair Kitchen, we ordered ahead and our sandwich was ready for pickup as soon as we arrived.  This sandwich option is a great choice for a vegetarian-friendly meal.  The fresh flavors of each vegetable were refreshing, and the fluffy roll was crisp on the outside, giving the sandwich a subtle crunch.

Chopt Creative Salad Company

Lastly, we arrived at Chopt Creative Salad Company (Chopt), located in the Rye Ridge Shopping Center in Rye Brook, New York.  Chopt is a counter-serve chain where guests create their own salads or wraps from a large array of ingredients, according to choptsalad.com.

While customers can make any type of salad into a wrap at Chopt, the classic grilled chicken Caesar salad wrap is an all-around favorite, costing $12.98.  With the perfect amount of Caesar dressing, parmesan cheese, crispy romaine lettuce, and crunchy croutons, the wrap is the ideal meal for lunch or dinner.  Just like Belle Fair Kitchen and G*Ville Deli, Chopt offers a takeout option that allows customers to order online in advance and pick up their order once they arrive.

Winner

After stopping at all three lunch spots, we decided that the winner of this edition of Guide to Greenwich is Belle Fair Kitchen.  Belle Fair upholds its reputation as a convenient and tasty spot for the senior class to grab lunch, offering a variety of options that suit most.  Specifically, the BEC is one of the best in Greenwich and serves as a surprisingly popular lunch item.  Overall, we concluded that Belle Fair earned the title of the Class of 2021’s best and favorite lunch spot.
