“Humans of the Sacred Heart” – Ms. Erin Snopkowski ’17
When attending Sacred Heart Greenwich as a student, what was your favorite Christmas celebration?
“When I was a Sacred Heart student I remember loving all the special Christmas traditions but what sticks out to me as my favorite is when the senior class would sing the 12 Days of Christmas at Morning Meeting in front of the whole Upper School. This was a great start to my mornings and it would get me in the holiday spirit. I remember being really excited for senior year to be the one sharing this holiday spirit with the rest of the Upper School.”
How do you hope to use your current role in the Communications Department to further holiday joy for students?
“I hope to use my current role in the Communications Department to capture joyful moments of students, faculty, and staff in their holiday spirit and share this joy with the rest of the community. I also hope to use my role to showcase the holiday traditions of our community and engage with alumni on traditions they remember. I hope to spread Sacred Heart’s holiday joy through our social media posts.”
Do you have any Christmas traditions in your household?
“For as long as I can remember, my parents have hosted a Christmas Eve party with my grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles on both sides of my family. This is something my whole family looks forward to each year and we have many special traditions on Christmas Eve. Each year, my cousins and I do a Secret Santa gift exchange, which is always fun. We also play a guessing game each year and try to guess the number of M&Ms in a jar. We all take our guesses on how M&Ms are in the jar and whoever is closest wins all the M&Ms. We have a running tally of who wins each year and is always something we look forward to.”
