“Humans of the Sacred Heart” – Laura O’Connor ’23
What are you looking forward to for the father-daughter dance?
“I am looking forward to having the father-daughter dance, especially after missing last year due to [the coronavirus pandemic]. I think what I am looking forward to most is seeing the decorations for the theme of the roaring twenties and watching the Dadrigals perform. Also, being able to spend the evening with my friends and our dads is super exciting, as it is always fun to be able to dress up and enjoy the night.”
What makes the father-daughter dance so special?
“I think what makes the father-daughter dance so special is that it is a night for just the dads and daughters. This dance is especially special because it is a Sacred Heart tradition, and it is something I look forward to every year. Also, this dinner-dance is uniquely Sacred Heart and because it is something you will only experience at Sacred Heart, it makes it more meaningful and memorable.”
What is your father looking forward to?
“My dad is looking forward in general to the dance because we were not able to have it last year. He also looks forward to the annual photo that we get to take together before the dance each year, as it is a reminder of the tradition and how fun the night always is.”
