What is the most important skill that you learned during your time on the KSC Staff?
I think I learned the importance and impact of writing concisely and effectively. As a writer, you realize what you say and how you say it matters. And with added additions like word counts, you really learn to write effectively for readers.
How have you continued your interest in journalism after graduating from Sacred Heart?
I went to college for journalism and now I work for a news station; so, very directly. I love journalism and I write every single day.
What piece of advice would you give to the current and future KSC Staff?
Writing is such a useful skill. And, no offense, one of the only skills that everyone will need for the rest of their lives. So, learn how to be really good at it. It can take you so far.
