Mrs. Sandra Caruso
Vivi acknowledged the strength and drive she witnessed and inherited from her mother. Vivi noted how her mother’s small acts of love and thoughtfulness are most emblematic of her character.
“A female role model who has had a strong impact on me is my mom. I know this is most people’s ‘go-to’ when thinking of an important female, but I truly think she is fitting for this role. My mom is one of the strongest people I know and for so many reasons. I won’t tell a sob story about how she overcame breast cancer at a young age with three small girls because, while that is incredibly impressive, she should be remembered for everything else that she does. For example, every day when I come home from school, I am so blessed to have a wonderful meal and a big smile greeting me at our kitchen table–not many people have this gift.”
“The hard work my mom puts into absolutely everything she does is inspiring, and I wish I had the same drive as her. When she needs to get something done, she doesn’t dwell on it, she acts and completes the task. She is also incredibly honest and smart; she knows what she wants and will not let anyone get in her way. She is an ultimate boss, and every day I am even more grateful to call her my mother. She is the reason I have achieved so much thus far in my life, and I would be nothing without her (literally).”
