Dr. Melissa Pecullan was Isabella’s teacher during her freshman year physics and sophomore year Algebra II classes. Isabella noted how Dr. Pecullan’s optimism and kindness uplifted the people around her.
“Dr. Pecullan is the most intelligent and persevering woman that I know. Not only is she a strong female role model in a male-dominated field, but she is also one of the smartest and funniest teachers that I have ever had. She is the most caring and sweet person; she is more than a teacher. She always checks in on her students, she listens to whatever we need to say, she makes us laugh, and above all, she cares for each of us like we are family.”
