What is your favorite aspect of your role as Sacred Heart Greenwich’s Director of Athletics?
“It is hard to boil it down to one thing as there are so many things I love about Sacred Heart Greenwich Athletics. Honestly, what I love most is the multifaceted role that I have… I love supporting our teams (this encompasses many things), but I also really enjoy mentoring student-athletes. It is 100 percent my passion and my role to provide the best opportunities for all of our student-athletes. While there is a lot of pressure to achieve this, I wholeheartedly believe in the growth that occurs through athletics. I love seeing the transformation from start to finish.”
What inspired you to pursue a career in athletics?
“I was an athlete my whole life and always played multiple sports each season. I followed my passion for athletics to play at both boarding school and college. These were such transformative experiences for me–I loved everything about being part of a team and competing for my school, so it was a natural fit to find myself being an administrator, coach, and teacher at the secondary school level.”
How do you feel about the success of Sacred Heart’s fall sports teams this year?
“Wow. It has been an amazing fall. There are so many highlights from this season. There has been such a positive buzz around our teams since day one of preseason. I give a ton of credit to the senior class for their incredible leadership of our teams. The overall vibe of our program is so positive. While I am looking forward to the winter season, I don’t want the fall to end. It has been a blast.”
