What did the tennis team do in Florida over Spring Break?
“The tennis team visited the United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Campus and worked on different skills, such as doubles play and volleys, with the help of professional coaches from the location. We competed in a match against Merritt Island, which enhanced our experience with match play and ultimately resulted in a victory for our team. Along with tennis training, we also had the opportunity to have fun at Universal Studios Orlando. We were able to relax and enjoy some fun rides after working hard at practice.”
How do you think the team bonding and training will help during the season?
“Team bonding will help us create an environment where we can support each other on and off the court. Our training will strengthen our ability to think strategically during matches and improve our strokes, such as forehands and backhands.”
What is the biggest takeaway from the trip?
“The biggest takeaway from this trip was the importance of finding a balance between relaxing and working hard. While dedication and hard work are essential for an athlete’s success, it’s equally important to recharge and create friendships outside of the sport. I learned that this balance can improve one’s performance and help with one’s overall well-being.”
