What was your favorite holiday tradition back at home in Egypt?
“My favorite holiday tradition was celebrating Ramadan with my family and community. The nightly iftar meals after fasting all day brought everyone together, and I loved the atmosphere of shared food, prayer, and the vibrant decorations in the streets.”
How are you spending your first Christmas in the United States?
“I’m excited to experience my first Christmas here with friends and my host family. I will be joining in on their family traditions such as baking cookies and exchanging gifts. I’m looking forward to the cozy and festive vibes it will bring.”
What is your favorite Christmas activity at Sacred Heart Greenwich?
“It’s hard to choose just one because there are so many fun traditions. I’m especially excited about the student versus faculty basketball game since I will be playing. I can already imagine how fun and incredible the energy will be. I’m also looking forward to the half day before Christmas break, especially for the seniors to dress as angels and sing Christmas carols.”
