In the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) volleyball championship match, the Convent of the Sacred Heart varsity volleyball team lost to the King Low Heywood Thomas School placing second within the FAA volleyball tournament.
The match occurred Friday November 13 at 4:30 pm. Sacred Heart scored 19-25, 19-25, and 21-25 in each set. The FAA volleyball championship marks the last match for the Sacred Heart volleyball team this season, ending with an overall record of 12-5.
Despite their loss, Sacred Heart played a competitive match against King, who ends their FAA volleyball season undefeated.
“We played with honor, heart, and hustle,” Director of Athletics Ms. Kelly Stone sent in an email following the game. “It was a thrilling display of hustle, dig-down-deep effort and skill. It was so much fun to watch you play. Congratulations on a super season.”
