"Humans of Sacred Heart" – Elisa Taylor ’22
What are your New Year’s resolutions?
“My New Year’s resolutions this year are to stop procrastinating and to be on my phone less. This year I felt like I was procrastinating a lot and leaving things to the last minute, which made me stressed. I also want to stop using social media as much as I can because it distracts me from my schoolwork.”
As with most resolutions, which ones do you think you’ll be able to maintain?
“I think I’ll be able to maintain my resolution of being on my phone less because I plan to restrict myself by setting time limits on my phone. I’m also going to try not to procrastinate as much, but I know that that will be really difficult, so I probably won’t be able to maintain that resolution as best as I would like to.”
Have you ever been able to maintain any of your previous resolutions?
“I don’t think I have maintained any of my previous resolutions because I didn’t take them seriously enough to stick with them. I always say that I’m going to stop eating junk food or be more productive, but it doesn’t really happen. I hope this year will be different.”
