“Humans of Sacred Heart” – Sally Carter ’20
What was your inspiration behind the theme “Attitude of Gratitude” for this school year?
“The inspiration for the theme ‘Attitude of Gratitude’ was really just how grateful I am for my Sacred Heart education. I have been a student in the Sacred Heart network for 15 years and it has been one of the most formative aspects of my life, so I really wanted to take this year to say thank you and encourage others to do the same.”
What are you looking forward to the most about being student body president this year?
“I am looking forward to implementing fun things such as Homecoming and new Community Service initiatives, and streamlining the role of the Student Council in general, with the potential introduction of new positions and activities.”
What is your favorite memory at Sacred Heart?
“My favorite memory at Sacred Heart was our Kairos retreat, as I loved getting to bond with my entire grade. I love how close my grade has gotten since our retreat and I am even more appreciative of all of my classmates now. Another one of my favorite Sacred Heart memories is when we beat Greenwich Academy in overtime in the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) Field Hockey Championships last year. It was so fun to be surrounded by essentially the entire Upper School and cheer together for the team.”
