“Humans of Sacred Heart” – Gigi Gazal ’23
Why did you decide to participate in the Empowering Female Voices program?
“I decided to participate in the Empowering Female Voices program because I think it is very important to discuss the issues that our country is facing and collectively come up with solutions to benefit the country as a whole. This program also brings awareness to these various issues and allows students to hear different points of view from all over the country.”
What have you gained from the experience thus far?
“So far, I have improved on working with new people that I have never met and I have also learned to voice my own opinion and debate different solutions.”
Why do you believe it is important to promote open political discourse amongst students?
“I think it is important to promote an open political discourse amongst students because it is crucial for us to hear issues from other people’s points of view in order to better understand their perspective and opinion. This allows students to rethink their own opinions.”
