Mr. Kevin King, Upper School History Teacher, and Mrs. Marnie McLaughlin, Upper School Art Teacher

Mr. King and Mrs. McLaughlin

Being a new student here, I felt a little lost at the beginning of the year but a teacher that helped a lot with that is Mr. King.  Chess has been an interest of mine for a while, but I never had been able to actually learn until one day I walked into Mr. King’s room and asked about the Chess Club, and he welcomed me right away.  He has been very welcoming, and I always look forward to his class whenever I have it.  I feel like I have learned so much from it and he has raised an interest in history that I did not have before.

Another teacher that has supported me a lot is Ms. McLaughlin.  Her class is one I really enjoy, it is very fun and relaxing, and she is always willing to help out with our projects and teach us different ways to do certain things.  I already feel myself improving a little in art as we go along and being able to look at things a different way from before.  Both have made me feel more at home at this school and I would just like to thank them for that.
