“Humans of the Sacred Heart” – Annika Wise ’25
What are you looking forward to accomplishing this semester as Sophomore Class President?
“This semester, I want to work on making the sophomore class even closer. Having a small grade compared to other schools is really special. It is so amazing to be able to look around and feel comfortable talking to anyone, so I want to ensure everyone in the sophomore class feels that way.”
What do you find most challenging about your role as the water polo team captain as a sophomore?
“The most challenging thing about being a water polo team captain as a sophomore is adjusting to becoming a leader for people who I look up to as leaders for myself.”
What skills have you acquired from your two leadership positions?
“My leadership positions have taught me about how important teamwork is. I once associated the word “leader” with an individual, but now I realize how important teamwork is to be a leader. Leading is not working alone but ensuring everyone is included in the process. Every choice and idea is truly a group effort when you are in a community like Sacred Heart Greenwich.”
The King Street Chronicle thanks sophomore Annika Wise ’25 for her contributions to “Humans of Sacred Heart.”
