As co-head of the Midnight Run Club, what do you hope to accomplish in this year’s run?

“In this year’s run, I aim to provide all the necessities the impoverished community needs.  Secondly, I hope to help them feel a sense of comfort and belonging in the harsh reality they live in.  I also aspire for my club members to recognize how fortunate we are to attend Sacred Heart Greenwich and are willing to persist in helping the homeless community in every way they can.”

What inspired you to introduce the club to the Upper School in 2021?

“I was inspired to start this club in 2021 because I had previously gone on a Midnight Run in eighth grade at my old school.  When I realized I had the opportunity to contribute to one of the biggest growing problems in America at Sacred Heart, I took advantage of that.  I have also come to understand that the homeless depend on the Midnight Run service as a whole to survive.  I knew by starting this club, others, too, would recognize the need to support people in need.”

Why do you think it is vital for students to get involved in activities such as the Midnight Run?

“I think it is vital for students to get involved in activities such as the Midnight Run to grasp the fact that there is a less fortunate world out there that relies on us.  As students at Sacred Heart, we are very fortunate to be provided warmth, food, clothing, and toiletries every day.  Most of us do not think twice about eating meals every day.  Thus, it is important to not take things for granted and give back when you can.”
