Coffee for Good supports individuals with disabilities in the workforce.

Coffee for Good

Coffee for Good is a nonprofit coffee shop located in Greenwich, Connecticut that sells coffee, baked goods, and sandwiches.  The coffee shop’s mission is to employ individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and teach them the skills that they need in the workforce.

As I entered the cafe, I noticed eager employees striving to help customers.  The menu was expansive and offered drinks and food for different tastebuds.  After paying for my food and drink, I made my way to an empty table in the cafe.  While the restaurant was busy, there were plenty of tables and open seats for customers to enjoy their food or get work done.  I purchased a Chai Latte for $5.50.

After receiving my latte, I made my way to an open table in the cafe.  As the cafe shares the land with the Second Congregational Church, the building has character and a historic feel.  The drink was the right amount of sweet and the flavor was strong but not overpowering.  It made for the perfect afternoon treat.
