What inspired this school year’s theme, Lead with Love?
“In all honesty, the theme Lead with Love came from my family’s favorite show, Ted Lasso. To give a brief synopsis of the show in order to explain, Ted Lasso is about an American football coach who goes to England to coach a premier league football team. Despite having no knowledge of the sport, Ted shares his wisdom and love with his team, and this is what ultimately leads them to succeed. I felt deeply connected to this because I felt it was much like Sacred Heart. Everyone, no matter who they are, is able to succeed because Sacred Heart fosters an environment filled with love and care for everyone.”
What have you enjoyed the most about your new role in the Upper School?
“In my new role in the Upper School, I am able to not only plan activities but also make changes. I am given the opportunity to voice the concerns of the Upper School. I feel very lucky to be able to be in a position to make these changes, whether it’s something small, like granting us more time in morning meetings, or something bigger, like planning all school activities. Once again, I am beyond excited to see what we have in store this school year.”
What are you looking forward to the most this year as Student Body President?
“As Student Body President, I am thrilled for this school year, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what the student council has planned. I am most looking forward to our morning meetings, where we will have more time to play some new and improved games. The student council and I have a running list of ideas and are so excited for everyone to see what we have in store. Making morning meetings fun was always important to me. I think it’s a great way to start the day off on the right foot.”
