Why did you decide to run for Freshman Class President?
“I decided to run for class president because I wanted to be part of a change in our grade. I want to work hard to build community so everyone feels included, and so that every voice is listened to and valued. I also want to have a strong connection with the people in our grade so that people can trust me to lead them in the right direction.”
What are you most looking forward to this year?
One thing I am looking forward to this year is using my leadership skills to lead our grade closer together. Some ways I want to do this is by organizing more bonding activities, including grade breakfasts, dinners, movie nights and maybe even customizing class sweatshirts or t-shirts. I also am looking forward to enforcing Goal IV, the building of community as a Christian value, as much as I can because I believe that showing up matters.”
What are you hoping the freshman class will achieve this year?
“I am hoping that this year will be filled with a loving and supporting community that makes everyone feel welcomed and understood. I also want everyone to be able to reach their goals with a positive attitude so that we can make this high school experience the best it can be.”
The King Street Chronicle thanks freshman Elena Bentley ’29 for her contributions to “Humans of Sacred Heart.”
