For this edition of Guide to Greenwich, I visited Belle Fair Kitchen, Jerry’s Post Road Market, and Glenville Deli to determine which location sold the best chicken Caesar salad wrap. I judged each wrap based on taste, price, restaurant ambience, and proximity to Sacred Heart Greenwich.
Belle Fair Kitchen

My first stop was Belle Fair Kitchen, located just three minutes from Sacred Heart. I arrived around 11:00 a.m., which proved to be an ideal time, as I was the only customer in the store. The staff greeted me warmly and prepared my wrap in about four minutes, making the overall experience quick and efficient. Belle Fair was also the only location where I sat down to eat my wrap in the restaurant.
Although Belle Fair is in the most convenient location, the wrap itself did not fully justify its price. The wrap cost $14.08, making it the most expensive out of the three. It was also noticeably small and contained an overwhelming amount of chicken compared to lettuce and croutons. While the chicken itself tasted well-cooked, the wrap lacked sufficient dressing, which resulted in several dry bites. However, the quality of the Caesar dressing stood out as the highlight of the sandwich, as it tasted rich and flavorful. Despite its shortcomings, I still enjoyed the wrap, especially because of the ease of access to campus.
Jerry’s Post Road Market

My second stop was Jerry’s Post Road Market in Rye, New York, which required a 13-minute drive from Sacred Heart. I arrived at around 11:30 a.m. and immediately noticed how busy the market felt compared to Belle Fair. I waited behind four customers, and the interior felt crowded and fast-paced, creating a slightly overwhelming atmosphere, as there is no space for seating.
I waited about five minutes to place my order, and my wrap arrived in just under ten minutes. Jerry’s does not offer seating, so I took my wrap to go and ate elsewhere. However, the portion size more than made up for this inconvenience. The wrap was significantly larger than Belle Fair’s and cost less, coming in at $12.68.
The quality of the ingredients stood out immediately. The chicken tasted juicier and more well-seasoned, and the croutons were large and perfectly cooked. While waiting, I could see directly into the kitchen, which allowed me to watch the staff prepare the ingredients fresh. The Caesar dressing differed greatly from Belle Fair’s. Instead of a creamy base, Jerry’s used a lighter, almost vinaigrette-style dressing that complements the wrap well.
Glenville Deli

My final stop was Glenville Deli, located six minutes from Sacred Heart. I arrived at 12:30 p.m. and was the only customer in the deli at the time. The worker immediately took my order, and my wrap was ready in two minutes. Glenville Deli’s limited seating prompted me to take my wrap back to school to eat.
The chicken Caesar wrap cost $13.00 and came in a generous portion. While slightly smaller than Jerry’s, it was noticeably larger than Belle Fair’s. The wrap had an even amount of dressing and featured a vinaigrette-style dressing similar to Jerry’s throughout. The croutons were large and well-cooked, as was the chicken. The deli felt clean and well-maintained, though the space was on the smaller side. As I was leaving, several customers came in to pick up online orders, indicating that the deli stays busy despite its small size.
Winner
After visiting all three locations, I concluded that Jerry’s Post Road Market sold the best chicken Caesar salad wrap. While I enjoyed Belle Fair’s creamy Caesar dressing and appreciated the convenience of Glenville Deli, Jerry’s stood out for its generous portion size, affordable price, and unmatched chicken quality. Although Jerry’s is a 13-minute drive from Sacred Heart, the quality of the wrap makes the trip well worth it.
