What do you oversee in your role at Sacred Heart Greenwich?
“I am the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Sacred Heart. In the role, I support prospective families and students as they explore Sacred Heart, and guide them through the admissions process. I work closely with the admissions team to provide opportunities for families to visit the school, meet with students and parents, and answer questions. Our goal is to get to know each family personally and determine [if] Sacred Heart is the right fit for their child.”
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
“My job is incredibly rewarding in many ways. One of the most meaningful parts for me is being able to share my love for Sacred Heart with prospective families every day. I also find it especially rewarding to watch accepted students enter Sacred Heart, grow in confidence, take full advantage of all the opportunities the school offers, and ultimately find success and joy in their own journey.”
How do your responsibilities change throughout the admissions cycle?
“One thing that I really enjoy about my job is that it is very cyclical. In the fall, our focus is on recruiting—hosting events like Open House, connecting with families in the community, and visiting and presenting at schools to make sure people know about Sacred Heart. We then move into a very busy period of welcoming visitors to campus, interviewing students and families, and reviewing applications. On February 20, we release admissions decisions. Once families have made their enrollment decisions, our focus shifts to onboarding. Because building community is one of our Goals and Criteria, we want new families to feel part of Sacred Heart right from the start. We also work closely to ensure each student is supported in their transition, both academically and socially.”
