What was the most memorable and meaningful part of the Father-Daughter Dinner Dance for you and why?

“The most memorable and meaningful part of the Father-Daughter Dance for me was hearing my dad give a speech to our senior class and then the few personal words he said directly to me at the end.  When he first told me he was going to speak at this event, I honestly couldn’t believe it and knew it took a lot of courage for him to do this.  Seeing him also sing and dance with the Dadrigals was very meaningful to me because I know he dedicated his time to be part of this amazing presentation.  I was deeply touched, and it made me feel incredibly grateful [and] proud, and it’s a moment I will always remember.”

What did your father’s speech mean to you personally?  How did his speech make your final Father-Daughter Dinner Dance special?

“My father’s speech meant a lot to me personally because he spoke about how proud the senior dads are of their daughters, how proud he is of me, and how he sees me growing into a strong young woman.  What touched me the most was his encouraging words to always keep a strong foundation of faith and to let God guide your decisions and future.  He also mentioned how well Sacred Heart Greenwich has prepared us not only academically, but also in values and character, which made me feel very grateful.  Hearing all of this during our final Father-Daughter Dinner Dance made the night even more meaningful and special, because it reminded me that as I move forward, I carry my family’s love, my school’s preparation, and my faith in God.”

How do events like the Father-Daughter Dinner Dance help create lasting memories for students and their families?

“Events like the Father-Daughter Dinner Dance create lasting memories because they bring everyone together and create a sense of community.  It’s not just about dancing, it’s about sharing meaningful moments with our friends and with our dads.  I’ve attended this dance with my dad for many years, but this one was especially memorable because it was our last as seniors.  Seeing the Dadrigals this year was an amazing experience as we watched our dads sing and dance for us, which we know took a lot of work and effort.  It’s definitely a memory that will stay with me and all of the senior class forever.”
