Who do you play in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern? What is your character like and why did you try out for this part?
“I am Ophelia. She’s kind of nervous about what’s going on with Hamlet, so she’s always sort of uncomfortable, and she doesn’t really know what to make of her situation.”
What is it like preparing for the play? Is this your first high school play?
“It’s been really fun. I’ve never been in any of the school’s plays before, but I am definitely going to do it again next year.”
What is the play about?
“It’s basically what goes on offstage during Hamlet. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Hamlet’s childhood friends, and Hamlet’s mother and uncle have asked them to figure out what’s wrong with Hamlet.”
Why should people come to see the play?
“It’s a lot funnier than it sounds. The title makes it sound really depressing, but most of it is actually more light-hearted and funny!”
What is something about the play that no one knows?
“It takes place in Purgatory.”
What is something about you that no one knows?
“I was born on Friday the thirteenth.”
