"Humans of Sacred Heart" – Gianna Morano ’18

Why did you want to be a part of the Upper School student council?
“Throughout middle school and high school I always had an interest in the student council, however, my nerves always got the best of me, and I never ran. Last year, I decided that I didn’t want to graduate without trying at least once. Now that I’m on student council, I try my best to listen to what other students are saying and use this to improve the Sacred Heart community.”
What is your favorite thing about being on student council?
“I love reading all the compliments that people send in about each other for Compliment Tuesday. Even though I can’t read all the compliments at morning meeting, they always make me smile because they are always all so kind and thoughtful.”
What activity that the student council runs do you look forward to the most?
“I really looked forward to Spirit Week this year. With the help of Ms. O’Grady, Student Council planned the entire week. We voted on the themes for each day, and we came up with the activities that took place during break and morning meeting. I personally really enjoyed making the Kahoot for Media Monday, and I was very excited for everyone to play it.”
The King Street Chronicle thanks senior Gianna Morano ’18 for her contributions to “Humans of Sacred Heart.”
