Destination KSC – Maui, Hawaii – Video Post

In “Destination KSC,” the King Street Chronicle searches the globe for destinations to highlight.  For this edition, we are traveling to Maui, Hawaii.  Hawaii is known for its beautiful beaches and abundance of tourist activities and sites, including helicopter tours, state parks, and the Road to Hana and its many scenic attractions.

Among the various activities to do in Maui, we found one of the best is traveling the Road to Hana, a scenic coastal highway trip that is more about the journey than the final destination.  The Road to Hana is meant to be completed with multiple stops along the way that provide insight into Maui’s nature and culture, ending in the small town of Hana.

Stops on the Road to Hana include the Twin Falls waterfall, the Garden of Eden Arboretum, and Waianapanapa State Park.  While there are over 15 stops along the way, these are a few of the most popular and memorable.

The Garden of Eden Arboretum is home to many of Hawaii’s unique and beautiful plant life. A highlight is the Rainbow Eucalyptus trees, which are famous for their multi-colored bark that appears to be painted on.

Waianapanapa State Park is a particularly popular destination, known for its bright waters, black sand, and hiking trails that overlook the ocean.

In general, helicopter tours are popular attractions on Maui to catch an aerial view of the famous topography.

Destination KSC includes a video montage of the Road to Hana and its stops, as well as highlights of the island’s natural beauty.
