Turning over a new leaf in fashion

It’s time to officially put away the summer ball caps and flip flops, and break out the newest trends of all different styles and colors. With the weather changing from a warm breeze to a cool wind, fashion designers are releasing their newest fall lines.
An easy way to keep your head warm while staying trendy in the cooler temperatures is with new fall hats. For those who prefer a beanie style hat, Jil Sander’s fall line includes beanies of different styles, including cashmere, faux fur, and a slouched beanie. Topshop also offers an array of beanies of a variety of colors, including mustard yellow and emerald green.
“I really like the look of beanies, but I think they are hard to pull off,” junior Francesca Hay said.
Another fall essential that completes an outfit are boots, which come in a wide range of colors and styles. Michael Kor’s leather riding boots are available in neutral shades and even offer a fur option. Chinese Laundry also has a new line of boots this fall. The line’s most popular shoes range from gold booties to black heeled boots.
According to E News, any color works for any season as long as the right fabrics are worn.
While beige and brown were the fall colors of 2012, this fall, emerald and white seem to be the primary colors in many designer collections. Some of these designers include Isabel Marant ,Balenciaga, Joy Cioci, and Monique Lhuillier.
“Emerald and white are both really pure, so I think they work for the fall season,” junior Kylinn Askew said.
While the temperature starts to drop, these fall fashion trends enable fashionistas to remain warm and stylish.
