In this episode of King Street Conversations, I discussed the pilot year of the senior internship program at Sacred Heart Greenwich. Through this internship program, students have the opportunity to explore life outside of school and work in an organization or company that aligns with their year-long Senior Seminar research topic. I sat down with Miss Karen Panarella, Assistant Head of Upper School for Student Life, who is supporting the seniors in finding internship opportunities. Miss Panarella touched upon why she thinks this is an enriching program, how seniors are finding their internships, and how this opportunity will help the seniors broaden their real-world perspectives ahead of graduation. I also met with senior Jaiden Vital to get a student perspective on this program, what her specific internship entails, and how it connects to her research in Senior Seminar.
