Why did you decide to run for student council?
“I have always had a desire to give back to the Sacred Heart community what it has given me: a sense of belonging, a lifelong love of learning, and the ability to create and explore new opportunities. I think that being a member of the student council gives me the ability to deepen my understanding of this community while also helping to bring these experiences to all Sacred Heart students.”
What do you hope to accomplish by creating Compliment Tuesday?
“Compliment Tuesday is meant to reminder the Upper School students that no matter how crazy our lives may become, there are an endless number of people that cherish and appreciate each of our individual gifts. Honestly, I love seeing the smiles on both the students and faculty’s faces when they get a compliment. There is no better feeling.”
What has been the highlight of your time as vice president so far?
“Seeing the clubs come together. I put a lot of work into trying to reorganize the clubs to be something that students can put their hearts into, and I think people seem to be enjoying them more. I also love working with [Senior and Student Body President] Maeve Hogan and the other members of student council from different grades- they are all such hard workers and amazing people.”
