How many years have you been participating in the Sacred Heart Greenwich Broadcast program?
“I have been in broadcast since sophomore year, so three years.”
What is your favorite aspect of the annual Film Festival and how did you prepare to be one of the three hosts?
“My favorite part of the Film Festival is the coming together of the school to appreciate and bond over student films. All of the hard work of the students being displayed for the school to see is like the championship game for broadcast students. I have been planning the festival since last May, so that went hand-in-hand with my hosting responsibilities. Jackie [Shannon ’18], Sophia [Brusco ’18], and I have been in rehearsals every break, class, and lunch since spring break, going over blocking and lines. I loved being a host, though, it was something I aspired to be since going to my first Film Festival.”
Are you planning on pursuing broadcast journalism in college?
“I am not pursuing journalism in college; however, I will be majoring in cinema and media studies at [The University of Southern California] film school.”
