Kathryn Goodfriend ’18:
How long have you been attending Sacred Heart Greenwich and what will you miss the most about Sacred Heart next year?
“I’ve been at Sacred Heart since preschool, so that makes 15 years. I’m definitely going to miss my friends the most next year. Some of my closest friends are ones I made here in preschool, so I will definitely miss seeing them each day.”
Where are you going to college next year and what are you most looking forward to in college?
“Next year I’m going to Georgetown University. I’m really excited to meet new people and take classes that I couldn’t take in high school.”
Valedictorian is an exceptional academic honor. Can you describe how you feel about this achievement?
“It’s an incredible honor to be named valedictorian of my class. While it is great to see that my years of hard work have paid off, I definitely could not have done this without the help of my friends and teachers.”
Pau Barbosa ’18:
How long have you been attending Sacred Heart Greenwich and what will you miss the most about Sacred Heart next year?
“I have been at Sacred Heart Greenwich for 11 years. I think what I will miss most about Sacred Heart next year is seeing my classmates every day. They are truly all such amazing, kind, and strong individuals. Also, I will miss the mints in Miss Pan’s office.”
Where are you going to college next year and what are you most looking forward to in college?
“I am going to MIT [Massachusetts Institute of Technology] next year. I am excited to meet new people, gain new knowledge, and experience new places. Exploring the city and MIT’s endless resources and programs is something I am very much looking forward to. Because I am near Boston, though, I will still be close to many friends, which is always comforting when starting somewhere new.”
Salutatorian is an exceptional academic honor. Can you describe how you feel about this achievement?
“I feel very honored and happy to be Salutatorian. It goes to show that my hard work these past four years has paid off and enforces the support I have received here. I cannot wait to represent our class along with Kathryn during graduation.”
