Trend of the Week:  Rose Prints

“The rose is a symbol of femininity as well as love, so it’s not surprising that designers, such as the fantasist Christian Lacroix or the Proust-loving Yves Saint Laurent, have used this flower to conjure prettiness and romance. Others, like Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, are ever mindful that a rose has thorns and endow the motif with graphic “bite.” This bold bloom is a perennial favorite of the Italian duo, who have used rose prints straightforwardly on sexy body-skimming dresses with ’50s flair, and more subversively on men’s-inspired pieces like the winning pantsuit Zendaya wore on the first of May, at the Met Gala after-party.” -Text source: vogue.com

Game of the week:
The luck of the Irish was on the Boston Celtics side on May 21 when they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 111-108 in dramatic fashion, ending the Cavaliers 13-game post-season winning streak . Boston has been blown out in the first two games of the series and they were short their star forward Isiah Thomas, but that did not stop the Celtics.  Avery Bradley was the hero for Boston as his three-point shot danced along the rim and dropped with less than a second left. Game four will take place on Tuesday in Cleveland.

“You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You can’t get there by bus, only by hard work and risk and by not quite knowing what you’re doing, but what you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover will be yourself.” – Alan Alda
